The work
Four years of building agentic systems hands-on teaches one lesson over and over: an agent is only as good as the system around it. The interesting 20% is the model deciding what to do; the load-bearing 80% is the evaluation harness, the guardrails, the retry logic, and the human checkpoints that catch it before a customer does.
